Spooktacular Social

Spooktacular Social is BACK - prepare  for the scare Manchester! The legendary Our Kids Social family Halloween event is coming your way at Escape to Freight Island 31st Oct 10-12. Bring your Adam’s family for frightsome antics to curdle your blood and ensure family Halloween fun for all. 

Dare you enter our ghoulish lair?

What do we have planned for your little monsters? All of the usual OKS goodness but with some terrifically terrifying twists! 

Our resident DJ will be playing all of our feel good classics and we with throw some monster mash in there for good measure - can you do the time warp? It’s time to get your freak on and show the kids your wicked dancefloor moves. Are you brave enough to come party with us?

 We will also have our two channel silent disco with an extra THIRD channel - not only can you listen to kids’ pop or adults’ guilty pleasures, but you can also choose to sit back and watch a spooky film on the big screen! With the headset on you will be able to list the film in a world of your own!

If you need a break from the dancefloor we will of course have some amazing spooky pop-ups for you to enjoy - spooky family arts and crafts led by local artist Rebecca Jones for you to get stuck in with, let your fiendish imaginations run wild! We will have massive monster-head masks, mummy mobiles and more besides. Also we will spell writing, Halloween puzzles, and Mini Professors will
be joining us for Spooky Science - come and get busy with your kiss with floating ghosts, optical illusions and bendy bones! 

Fancy dress is absolutely encouraged although not a requirement - we know that our OKS community love to pull out all the stops at Halloween. If you need a hand with face painting don’t worry, we will have one of our resident face painters to help out on the day. We will have some prizes for the beat outfits on the day. 

Our monsterous mystery trail will be set out around the venue for you to follow and solve - the perfect chance to explore this amazing space, and the brunch menu will be on for the whole family to enjoy. Plus we will have our mini market-place of independent sellers for you to buy some treats for adults and kids of all ages - bring some cash along so you don’t miss out on bargains! 

Grab your cape, fix in your fangs, don't forget your skeletons - we can't wait to see you all for what promises to be a Spoooktacular afternoon!

We know that over the past few years this has been our most popular event and so don’t delay in buying tickets! Once they’re gone, they’re gone. Everyone attending needs a ticket and babes in arms go free. 

OKS events are recommended for children aged ten and under and their families but all ages are welcome
